WHO ARE WE?
The Society of Geodetic Engineers, Geomatics and Surveyors of Venezuela (SIGGMA), is a non-profit and independent organization, which seeks to take advantage of digital platforms to interconnect and enhance the synergy and cooperation between Venezuelan professionals and students of geodesy, geomatics and surveying, established in different parts of the world.
To provide strategic support to Venezuelan professionals and students of geodetic engineering, geomatics and surveying, in order to enhance job opportunities, integral professional development and their leadership within and outside Venezuela.
To be the professional society of worldwide reference in the field of geodesy and geospatial information, recognized by its leadership, values, principles and professional ethics.
•To create a community of Venezuelan professionals and students, inside and outside Venezuela.
•To offer strategic information on the labor field of geodetic engineering and related disciplines.
•To generate valuable content for the professional development of the members.
•To promote the exchange of ideas, concerns and experiences among the members and other organizations.

multi-disciplinary E&P teams, focused on the identification, delineation and drilling of exploration prospects. Ex-President of ASOVIG (2002-2005), Secretary of the Board of the SOVG (1994-1996), Treasurer and President of the Organizing Committee of the I and II International Congress of Geodesy and Cartography (2002 & 2005), respectively; member of the Organizing Committee and of the Technical Committee of the X and XIV Venezuelan Congress of Geophysics (2000 & 2008), respectively. He is currently on the VAPA Board Membership Advisory and Coordinating Committee (2019-2021).
